W.W.A Presents: "Telling Our Story: Using Thematic Framing"

  • 131 Spring Street New York, NY, 10012 United States (map)

Join us for Meeting No. 5 of the 2025–2026 workshop!

This week, we’re exploring how titles act as an anchor for theme, emotion, and reader expectation; and how the right title can shape the entire direction of your story.

📚 Mandatory reading: How to Triumph Like a Girl by Ada Limón
(Members have access to all readings for the year. Click here to become a member!)

PEER REVIEW SESSION!

We’ll begin workshopping member submissions for peer review (limit 5 readers max).

We are only accepting work that aligns with this year’s theme: Storytelling. We welcome poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, personal essays, and short scripts. Please keep all submissions to three pages or fewer.

Once you RSVP, email your piece to writerswithattitudenyc@gmail.com with a subject line that includes your name, date, and title. An RSVP is required before submitting your work.

Workshopping will be available at our in-person meetings only. Virtual options are not available at this time.
